Student Memberships
A Student Member is actively studying acupuncture in an ACAOM-accredited school. A first year student may take advantage of a three year membership for $90, at $30/year that is less than half the price of a yearly student membership! Membership expires after 1 or 3 years and cannot be renewed after graduation. Student Members receive all of the discounts available to Professional Members, updates on the state of our profession, free or discounted membership events, and the opportunity to serve as a Student Representative to the APA Board.

1st Year Professional Memberships
We congratulate you on your 1st year in practice! The APA is pleased to offer a half-price membership to all newly licensed acupuncturists for the first year in practice. 1st Year Members possess full rights and privilages as voting members of the association. This membership level expires after one year and cannot be renewed.
One Year Membership – $125/year
Professional Memberships
A Professional member must be an acupuncturist licensed to practice Acupuncture in the State of Pennsylvania. Professional Members possess full rights and privileges as voting members of the association. This membership level automatically renews yearly unless cancelled. Yearly membership may also be paid via check, which can be selected at time of checkout.

Patron of Acupuncture
A Patron of Acupuncture is an individual who is not actively engaged in the study or practice of acupuncture, but who supports the aims of this Association and makes a substantial contribution to advance the goals of the APA. Any person or organization wishing to support the Association may subscribe to membership and will receive any newsletters, announcements, and information published by the Association, and possesses non-voting membership privileges for such services provided by the Association to its membership. Patrons of Acupuncture may serve on committees, but may not serve as a Director. The annual dues for this category are currently $500.
Yearly Renewal – $500/year
Friends of Acupuncture
A Friend of Acupuncture is an individual who is not actively engaged in the study or practice of acupuncture, but who supports the aims of this Association. Any person or organization wishing to support the Association may subscribe to membership and will receive any newsletters, announcements, and information published by the Association, and possesses non-voting membership privileges for such services provided by the Association to its membership. A Friend of Acupuncture may serve on committees, but may not serve as a Director.
Yearly Renewal – $100/year
By joining our association, you also become a member of the American Society of Acupuncture (ASA). Collectively, you become an essential part of a statewide and national powerhouse that serves to elevate licensed acupuncturists and the profession as a medicine with quality continuing education, emerging research, and discounts on products and services.
We keep you connected to other providers, progress in the field, advocacy issues, and industry information within our state, other states, and national news via state level websites that connect to national content.
In addition, our website content provides information on licensure standards for the public and policy makers. WHAT IS THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ACUPUNCTURE (ASA)?
The ASA exists through state level acupuncture associations to unite licensed acupuncturists nationally, and to champion acupuncture as a medicine at state and federal level while protecting professional interests, increasing access for patients, and informing the public. Their mission is advancing the professional practice of acupuncture as a whole system of medicine through advocacy, education, and research with the vision of being partners in the American healthcare system.
Joining our association is simple! We offer 5 different membership options; Student, Graduate First Year Professional, Professional, Patron, and Friend of Acupuncture. Professional Membership can be paid annually or quarterly. Just select the appropriate membership option and pay online.
